Keely Hodgkinson joins COROS as elite athlete partner

Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson has joined performance technology company COROS as its latest elite athlete partner.

The partnership will see the British middle-distance runner utilise the new COROS PACE 4 and the COROS Heart Rate Monitor to support her training, recovery and performance analysis.
The partnership comes as Hodgkinson continues her pursuit of the women’s outdoor 800m world record, which has stood for 43 years.

Hodgkinson, 24, claimed the 800m Olympic gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024, following a silver medal at the Tokyo Games in 2021. The athlete has since achieved multiple World Indoor titles and currently holds the Indoor 800m World Record.

In addition to her athletic achievements, Hodgkinson has captured an international audience through her presence on social media and her personal YouTube channel. According to COROS, she bridges the gap between fashion shoots, red carpets and elite track training.

Her training philosophy is guided by her personal mantra, ‘Always earned, never given’. Keely Hodgkinson said “Track and field isn’t a team sport. If I have a bad day, that’s on me. There is no one out there to carry it for me, and when you do earn something in the sport, you’ve completely earned it, because it is only you out there running that race.”

By partnering with COROS, Hodgkinson will integrate performance insights and data analytics into her training preparation.

The athlete will rely on the COROS PACE 4, which is an ultralight AMOLED GPS watch designed for performance, speed and simplicity. The device will offer training measurements and analytical tools to help identify small performance improvements. She will also use the COROS Heart Rate Monitor for data accuracy during training sessions.

Keely Hodgkinson said “I’m very proud of my past results, but I believe that I have room to improve and run faster. Partnering with COROS will give me the tools I need to look back at my training history and identify opportunities to optimize my training and racing. With COROS, I have full confidence and the evidence I need to push myself as hard as I can and get past my own historic barriers.”

Through the collaboration, COROS and Keely Hodgkinson will explore how data, preparation and experience intersect to improve performance for elite athletes.

Douglas Musson, Global Running Athlete Director at COROS, said “Keely is the ideal athlete to work with. What stands out isn’t just what she’s achieved; it’s her continued drive to improve. She pays attention to every detail and embraces the hard work. That’s exactly the kind of athlete we love working with at COROS.”

COROS notes that it develops training products for endurance sports by combining technology with sports science. It delivers training tools for performance tracking, navigation and journaling to users around the international endurance sports market.
