Return of Zwift’s The Big Spin, with new rewards

Zwift - The Big Spin

Zwift, the international online fitness platform, has announced the return of its popular event series, The Big Spin. Running from March 16 to April 6, 2026, the four-stage tour across the virtual world of Watopia features a prize-win mechanic for participants upon the completion of each event.

New for the 2026 season, Zwift has introduced ‘Mystery Spinners’ hidden throughout the game world. From February 27, 2026, riders can search for eight treasure chests containing unlocks from previous Big Spin events.

The Big Spin consists of four stages, each featuring a prize wheel with 12 new unlocks. These include four new kits, the MX RIDER bike, and various accessories such as the Big Spin Tri-Spoke wheel, Fuego Flats Cowboy Hat, and Jungle Headphones. There is no limit to how many times a rider can complete a stage to attempt to win the full set of prizes.

The 2026 stages are as follows:

  • Stage 1: Desert Discovery – Flat Out Fast route (21.4km / 46m virtual elevation)
  • Stage 2: Hidden Temple – Mayan San Remo route (21km / 219m)
  • Stage 3: Lost Coast Adventure – Southern Coast Cruise route (26.3km / 147m)
  • Stage 4: Sand & Sequoias – Sand & Sequoias route (20.1km / 175m)

The series is structured as a social tour with group rides departing hourly. Zwifters also have the option to complete stages on-demand.

Founded as a fitness company rooted in gaming technology, Zwift notes that it connects to indoor trainers and treadmills to translate real-world physical effort into virtual movement. The platform hosts a variety of social rides, races, and structured training programmes within 3D environments such as London, New York, and Paris.
