Shokz OpenFit Pro flagship earbuds feature open-ear noise reduction

Shokz, a pioneer in open-ear audio technology, has confirmed the launch of the OpenFit Pro. According to the company, these are its most ‘revolutionary’ open-ear true wireless earbuds to date, representing a significant expansion of its product range for the 2026 season.

The new flagship model is the first from the brand to feature a synchronised dual-diaphragm driver and dedicated noise reduction. This technology is designed to allow endurance athletes and general users to switch between immersive listening and open-ear awareness, depending on their environment.

For those training in outdoor settings, such as cycling or running on public roads, the open-ear design maintains situational awareness. Conversely, the noise reduction feature can be utilised in louder environments, such as gyms or cafés, where a user may prefer to focus on their audio.

The audio performance is powered by Shokz SuperBoost, which the company claims delivers dynamic and distortion-free sound. The dual-diaphragm design utilises ‘ultra-large diaphragms that move in sync to produce smooth highs and deep lows.’

The hardware includes an aerospace-grade aluminium PMI dome cap to ensure vibration consistency. The diaphragm itself is constructed from premium silicone, which is intended to minimise distortion and provide a punchy bass response.

To further enhance the listening experience, the OpenFit Pro is optimised for Dolby Atmos with head tracking. This is designed to create a more realistic and immersive soundstage, which is particularly beneficial when watching media or listening to high-fidelity music tracks.

Users can personalise their audio via the Shokz App, which offers five preset and two customisable EQ profiles. This level of customisation is part of a broader update to the Shokz OpenSound system, which forms the technical foundation for its international audio product line.

Achieving effective noise reduction in an open-ear format is a technical challenge. To address this, Shokz has implemented an innovative triple-mic system combined with an ear-adaptive algorithm. This system predicts external and in-ear noise levels to deliver finely tuned noise reduction in real time.

The company adds that advanced acoustic modelling allows the device to provide reliable noise control across various ear shapes. Through the companion app, users can manually adjust these noise reduction levels to suit their specific needs for focus or awareness at any given moment.

In terms of physical design, the OpenFit Pro features a seamless unibody construction. It includes a raised-profile microphone equipped with a Noise Reduction Ring to improve call clarity. The earbuds are finished in an ultra-soft silicone with nickel-titanium alloy ear hooks.

These hooks are designed to flex to the contours of different ear shapes, providing stability during high-intensity endurance activities. Shokz also offers optional support accessories for users with smaller ears to ensure an extra layer of fit.

Battery life has been a key focus for the new model. The OpenFit Pro provides up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 50 hours when using the charging case. For users in a hurry, a 10-minute quick charge provides up to 4 hours of listening time.

The earbuds are also compatible with wireless charging. Smart features include wear detection and waterproof physical buttons for reliable control in damp conditions. The device carries an IP55 rating for water and sweat resistance, making it suitable for training in various weather conditions.

The OpenFit Pro supports Bluetooth 6.1 and multipoint pairing, allowing it to stay connected to two devices simultaneously. It will be available in two colourways – black and white – with a retail price of £219 in the UK. Pre-sales began on January 6, 2026.
