Supertri to host dual-coast USA Paratriathlon National Qualifiers in 2026

Supertri has announced it will host two rounds of the USA Paratriathlon National Qualifier Series on the same day in 2026, providing athletes with a coast-to-coast racing opportunity.

On July 19, 2026, both Supertri Long Beach in California and Supertri New Jersey in Mercer County will stage paratri qualifier events. The dual-hosting allows aspiring elite paratriathletes on both the East and West Coasts to compete for qualification spots at the 2026 USA Triathlon Paratriathlon National Championships, which will take place in Milwaukee on August 9, 2026.

The series is a premier national circuit for emerging paratriathletes and adaptive athletes (ATD1) in the United States.

“As we head into the 2026 season, our goal is to welcome 100 paratriathletes and adaptive athletes to compete at Paratriathlon Nationals this August,” said USA Triathlon Head of Para Development, Auburn Bosworth.

“The Paratriathlon Nationals Qualifier Series continues to be a key pathway for both new and returning athletes, strengthening paratriathlon communities across the country. Para development plays a vital role in growing the sport and building momentum toward the Paralympic Games at LA28 and beyond.”

Supertri Long Beach, set against the Southern California coastline, also continues its tradition as a major fundraising vehicle. The event features a protected bay swim and includes Sprint, Olympic, and Super Sprint distances.

Over the years, the Long Beach event has raised more than US$19 million for paediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) via its Corporate Challenge.

Supertri New Jersey celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Recognised as one of the fastest and largest triathlons in North America, the event is held in Mercer County Park and attracts thousands of athletes seeking personal bests on its flat course.

2026 marks the first year Supertri will operate the event in New Jersey following its acquisition of the race.

Both the Long Beach and New Jersey races will follow USA Triathlon and World Triathlon paratriathlon competition rules for the qualifier waves.
