Following an early end to his 2026 racing season due to a crash at the Vuelta a España, Tadej Pogačar has returned to riding on virtual cycling platform MyWhoosh as he begins his build towards the 2027 season.
Working alongside UAE Team Emirates-XRG coach Javier Sola and the team’s performance staff, Pogačar is utilizing the indoor platform for controlled, progressive sessions.
Tadej Pogačar, rider for UAE Team Emirates-XRG, said “It’s just nice to be back on the bike. I’m taking it step by step at the moment and slowly building things back up towards next season. I’ve used MyWhoosh a lot over the years, especially for structured sessions indoors, so it’s good to be back riding on it now.”
Mauro Gianetti, Team Principal of UAE Team Emirates-XRG, added “The most important thing right now is to let Tadej return to the bike in a controlled and progressive way, with no unnecessary pressure on the process.
“We have a very experienced performance team, and every part of his riding is considered carefully as we look towards the new season. MyWhoosh has been part of that environment for some time, particularly for structured indoor work, so it is a natural platform for us to use as he gradually gets back into his normal rhythm on the bike.”

Train with Tadej series
MyWhoosh will release a weekly ‘Train with Tadej’ workout from September 18, 2026 through to the end of November 2026. Designed by Javier Sola, the series adapts training principles from Pogačar’s return-to-riding programme for the wider MyWhoosh community.
Each weekly release will feature two workout options:
- Short session: Tailored for time-restricted riders or those seeking an accessible workout.
- Long session: Designed for riders seeking a higher overall training load.
The series structure will evolve alongside Pogačar’s actual training progression, offering insights into how his focus shifts across different recovery and base-building phases.
Community event and prize bundle
Pogačar is also scheduled to host a live ‘Ride with Tadej’ community event on the platform, featuring an interactive Q&A session regarding his recovery and 2027 season preparations.
One participant in the virtual ride will win a gear package comprising a Colnago bicycle, ELITE indoor trainer, PISSEI kit, MET helmet, DMT shoes, and SCICON eyewear.
Matt Smithson, Director of Esports & Game Operations at MyWhoosh, said “It’s great to see Tadej back on the bike and beginning to build towards next season. We’ve worked with Tadej and the team for a number of years now, and seeing MyWhoosh continue to be part of his riding is something we’re really proud of.”
