A new race added to the UCI Europe Tour calendar, the Tour of Armenia makes its debut from September 10–13, 2026. The event is organised by the Armenian Government and the Armenian Cycling Federation, with technical advice provided by RCS Sports and Events.
Covering four stages, 587km, and 5,300m of elevation gain, the race crosses the regions of Gegharkunik, Tavush, Lori, and Aragatsotn before concluding in the Armenian capital city of Yerevan.
The Armenian Cycling Federation, alongside the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, aims to establish the race as an annual event to promote sports tourism and professional sports in the country.
- Stage 1 (September 10, 2026): Gavar to Mets Masrik (135km, 450m elevation gain) – A flatter route skirting Lake Sevan that is expected to suit sprinters.
- Stage 2 (September 11, 2026): Kirants to Stepanavan (177km, 2,400m elevation gain) – A mountain stage starting from the Tavush region and finishing in Stepanavan.
- Stage 3 (September 12, 2026): Martuni to Dilijan / Lake Parz (162km, 1,700m elevation gain) – Featuring three mountain passes along the western shore of Lake Sevan with an uphill finish at Lake Parz.
- Stage 4 (September 13, 2026): Yerevan to Yerevan (113km, 750m elevation gain) – A 10-lap circuit through the capital city to conclude the race.
