Triathlon training camp specialist Tri Dynamic has just announced details of a European age group tri camp with elite coach Darren Smith. Following on from the successful first Australian Dsquad Tri Camp with Darren Smith, Tri Dynamic has lined up another world exclusive for age group triathletes!
This time, for the UK based company and its customers, the camp is a little closer to home than Australia with a European based Dsquad Tri Camp for age group athletes. The camp is open to all abilities and will take place in the beautiful town and tri training paradise of Morzine from Friday 21 June to Monday 24 June.
Morzine is a commune in the Rhône-Alpes region of eastern France with panoramic mountain views, modern ski facilities and hotels and restaurants. It will be the new European base for the Dsquad from this summer due to the available training terrain and facilities.
Tri Dynamic is the only company in the world working with Darren Smith to organise camps for age group triathletes. Places will be strictly limited to just 15 athletes who will have the opportunity to work closely with Smith, his pro Dsquad athletes and his world class support team. Located around one hour’s drive from Geneva airport, Morzine is easily accessible from all over Europe. Early booking for this camp is advisable.
The Darren Smith European Tri Camp will be ‘camp only’ meaning that participants will be able to tailor their own trip either just to attend the camp or to extend and have a vacation with friends or family after the camp or even to go and race the Lake Annecy Triathlon, which takes place the weekend after the camp on 30 June.
There are several hotels, apartments and chalets nearby in Morzine. Tri Dynamic has teamed up with the Hotel Fleur Des Neiges Morzine to offer camp participants a special rate.
All workouts will start and end at the Morzine Aquatic Centre at the Palais de Sports with its 50m and 25m pools right in Morzine town centre. It is recommended that participants arrive on Thursday 20 June in the evening at the latest – as the camp will kick off early on Friday 21 June.

We have nurtured a really engaging and motivating environment and I’m sure participants will enjoy working with our squad.”
Participants will receive coaching from Darren Smith in all three sports as well as seminars and talks from guest speakers. The 15 athletes in the camp will also meet, watch and learn from Darren’s group of elite triathletes who will be based in Morzine as they prepare for the summer racing season.
There will also be social activities including a last night meal as part of the camp with Darren Smith, his athletes and support team. Athletes will also benefit from working with Darren Smith’s world class support team including rehab specialist Rick Van Riemsdijk and team dietician Dr Liz Broad, who help Darren Smith’s pro athletes stay in top condition.
This camp is positioned as a unique opportunity to step into the life of a pro triathlete in one of the most impressive coaching set ups in the world for four days, to learn new skills and come away a better athlete.
