Two levels of early bird pricing are now available for the Triathlon Business International (TBI) inaugural conference ‘The Growth & Globalization of Triathlon’, which takes place on 10-12 September 2013 at the Hilton London Metropole in London, UK.

  • Attendees who register by 31 May will get Early Bird savings between £100 and £150 (US$153 and US$230) over the regular event price.
  • A Summer Special will run between 1 June and 31 July, with savings between £50 and £75 (US$76 and US$115).
  • Beginning on 1 August, standard registration fees will apply.

Registration fees include all conference events and meals. A 20% discount is available when more than one person registers on the same order.

TBI is also announcing the first three keynote speakers among the experts who are triathlon storytellers, fact-finders and shapers-of-the-sport. The speakers will provide practical, functional and motivational information through multiple general sessions, panel discussions, topical breakout sessions and case studies.

With more speakers and panellists to come, these early confirmed speakers include:

  • Chrissie Wellington, British triathlete and four-time Ironman World Champion
  • Humphrey Cobbold, CEO of Wiggle, the UK-based online retailer of cycling and triathlon-related products; ‘the UK’s #1 online cycle shop and the UK’s 5th most popular online sports shop’
  • Dr Sarah Springman, CBE, 1st Vice President of the International Triathlon Union (ITU)
  • Andrew Messick, CEO of World Triathlon Corporation (Ironman)
  • Sejal Pietrzak, Senior Vice President, International, The Active Network

The conference schedule has been coordinated with the ITU Triathlon World Championship Grand Final at Hyde Park, London, to provide convenience without conflict for attendees and participants of both events.

Topics will cover the changing face of online and traditional retailing; maximizing event participation, revenue and media; attracting participants; ROI on sponsorships; social media and mobile trends; international mergers/acquisitions; trends in training, nutrition and equipment; and reports on the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
