Garmin has announced a new cycling bundle for its VIRB XE action camera. In addition to the items that are included in the standard VIRB XE package (sticky mounts, batteries, adapters, etc.) this cycling bundle will include a microSD card, small and large tube mounts, a vented helmet strap, and the new cycling combo mount.
The included cycling combo mount gives users a simple and lightweight solution to mounting both an Edge unit and a VIRB XE by simply mounting the VIRB XE upside down underneath their Edge unit, and the camera will automatically rotate the video right side up. This allows users to stay in a comfortable heads-up position for easier monitoring and improved safety.
Several compatible Edge units can also be used as a remote control for VIRB XE, as long as the software is updated. Users can connect the VIRB XE to their Edge via ANT+ to be able to easily start and stop recording, while still maintaining a heads-up position, no matter if the camera is mounted on handlebars, helmet or under the saddle.
