Leading road cycling and triathlon retailer, Sigma Sport, is hiring. The company is probably best known for its flagship 9,000 sq ft store in Kingston Upon Thames but it also operates one of the largest Specialized Concept stores in the UK as well as trading internationally from its website.
Three positions are currently available with the retailer: Sales and Customer Service Representative; Web Fulfilment Co-ordinator; and Workshop Technician.
Sales & Customer Service Representative (Full-Time)
Based out of Sigma Sport’s Head Office in Esher, Surrey, the retailer is looking for a passionate cyclist with a strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills. The company requires a self-motivated, organised team player with excellent telephone and computer skills to provide exceptional customer service. This position requires an intense work ethic, plus experience, knowledge and passion for road and triathlon products.
Requirements:
- Specialised knowledge of road and triathlon products
- Two years of bike industry experience or two years of sales experience, or one year of each
- PC literacy is essential
- Self-driven with a positive outlook and a clear focus on delivering outstanding customer service
- A natural communicator able to empathise with customers and see things from the other person’s point of view
Web Fulfilment Co-ordinator (Full-Time/Part-Time)
This role requires an excellent team player with a flexible attitude, and who should be enthusiastic and self-motivated with good accuracy and basic numeracy. Some experience within a warehouse environment would be advantageous but is not necessary. Applicants must be able to work to deadlines and under pressure, have a keen eye for detail, experience in order picking either from a manifest or by using a scanner.
Workshop Technician (Full-Time, Weekdays)
Sigma Sport is looking for a full time workshop technician to join its existing, busy and well established road bike and triathlon business in Esher, Surrey. Located at the retailer’s warehouse Sigma Sport is looking for:
- A conscientious, hardworking and dedicated individual who appreciates quality and attention to detail within a workshop environment
- Good technical and mechanical background on road, triathlon and time trial bikes
- Have the ability to work in a time efficient manner on all bikes including all varieties with electronic transmissions
- Qualified to Cytech level 2 or 3 is preferred, although specific training in all areas will be provided to the successful candidate
- Assembly and inspection of complete box and custom bikes, frame prep, wheel building/truing, etc. The re-boxing of bikes for shipping
- Deal with inventory issues and order fulfilment including: inventory, picking, packing and shipping
- Attention to detail and ability to problem solve issues
- General computer, email, word processing, Excel and internet skills
