Italian pro triathlete Alessandro Fabian has joined the ranks of Sidi Sport – as a sponsored athlete, with Sidi providing the athlete with its T-4 Air Carbon Composite shoes.
Alongside a commitment to triathlon, Alessandro Fabian is a part-time military policeman who belongs to a sporting group within Italy’s Carabinieri (the national military police of Italy). In addition to several Italian titles won over the Olympic and Sprint distances, Fabian has previously won an U23 Duathlon World Title, European medals in individual and team races and, a career highlight 10th-place at the 2012 London Olympics.

“The Olympic Games in London were the culmination of a dream, but also helped me to become aware of my means,” Fabian said. “In Rio, the race route is very suitable to my strengths and characteristics, and I want to confirm a place among the elite of world triathlon.”
During the bike leg of tri competitions, Alessandro Fabian will count on the newly established partnership with Sidi Sport, which will be supplying its T-4 Air Carbon Composite shoes. Light and breathable, with carbon soles and uppers in perforated politex, the T-4 has been positioned as ‘a perfect choice for the triathletes’ by the Sidi team.
After a winter spent between road and cycle cross training too, now Alessandro Fabian has flown to Namibia, for an important phase of high altitude training as he looks forward to his season debut in Abu Dhabi in March. The road to Rio has already begun…
