Reboots gives a leg-up to elite triathlete Frederic Funk

German pro triathlete Frederic Funk has joined IRONMAN World Champion Anne Haug as Reboots’ second triathlete to join its elite athlete ambassador program.

“We are very excited to have Fred as a new brand ambassador on our team,” said Tom Keller, founder of Reboots. “With our recovery products we will support him to reach and top his career goals. We are sure that you will see and hear a lot from him in the future.”

Reboots supplies massage and recovery boots. They consist of a number of air chambers that are gradually filled with compressed air. This creates a sliding compression wave on the legs.

The company notes that recovery boots can support the body’s natural regeneration process by helping to remove lactic acid from the muscular system. Currently priced up to €799, athletes can choose between different sizes, determined by measuring stride length.

Frederic ‘Fred’ Funk said “Sporting success is significantly influenced by the right regeneration. With Reboots I give my body excellent support to regenerate in the best possible way.

“With Reboots by my side, I’m getting closer and closer to my goals of winning the biggest races in the world.”

After becoming a triathlon junior champion in 2016, Funk crossed the finish line at the Rothsee Triathlon in Germany the following year as the youngest winner to date. In 2018, the Nuremberg native won the triathlon middle distance championship title and the Frankfurt City Triathlon Olympic distance title.

His biggest successes include winning IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote in 2019; and in 2021, the athlete became the European champion at the half-distance.
