BMC has committed to an all-road approach with updates to the Roadmachine X. The new bike features a premium carbon frame and extended versatility. According to the Swiss bike manufacturer… ‘it is capable of bridging the gap between endurance road and gravel riding, from racing the clock on a b-road blast through to a multi-day, multi-surface adventure ride.’
The story of the Roadmachine began in 2016, when it first emerged as… ‘BMC’s pioneering all-road machine to challenge traditional road bike categories.’ BMC adds that the Roadmachine X now targets riders who have big expectations when it comes to where they can ride.
The new bike’s design includes embedding proprietary innovations into the frame and accommodating ‘TCC Endurance’ within its sculpted carbon lay-up, D-Shaped carbon seatpost, and dropped, flat seatstays.
‘Built with the most capable on-road version of Tuned Compliance Concept (TCC), the Roadmachine X also features a specially constructed TCC fork that provides added vertical compliance and lateral stiffness for control and comfort on rough surfaces.’
The Roadmachine X is endowed with BMC’s Endurance Geometry… ‘From leaning into high-speed corners on tarmac to laying it down on the varying, unpredictable terrains of back-roads, everything is calculated to deliver poised handling.’
In addition, there are a wide range of fit options to match rider requirements. Stem length, stack height and bar width are all integrated, and adjustable.
The Roadmachine X is equipped with the wide-range 1X wireless SRAM XPLR drivetrain, and is teamed with 32mm tubeless ready tyres.

The Roadmachine X comes in six sizes (47, 51, 54, 56, 58 and 61) and two models: the ONE (€5,999) is now available; while the TWO (€4,699) euros will be available from April 2022. An aluminium version, the Roadmachine X AL ONE (€2,299) is slated for May 2022.
