Continuing its expansion in Japan, ROUVY has confirmed that it will host the second open virtual edition of the Akagiyama Hill Climb Race, on October 9th.
The virtual event will feature Japanese pro riders Takahiro Koyama and Kazuki Nagatomi, from Team Griffin. Riders from all over the world are welcome to cruise or race the 20km to the top of the Akagi mountain, virtually from their homes.
The virtual rebranded route has been built with geo-synced video footage by ROUVY.

We are happy to be hosting a real race replica online, and the platform gives a perfect reproduction of our real race. The virtual event, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the real world race, is free-to-enter. Drafting within ROUVY is on; and athletes of all levels are invited to explore this Japanese race… ‘enjoy the 1:1 virtual race course this weekend and train for the real race in the post-Covid future.’
The race starts on October 9, 5:00 a.m. CET / 12:00 JST.
