Racecheck, the platform for reviewing mass participation sports events, has announced the winners of its 2022 Racecheck Awards, which aim to recognise the top-performing races in the world.
Racecheck notes that… ‘The awards are unique in that they are based on the reviews received from the participants who have taken part in the races, making them a highly coveted accolade for event organisers.’
Coming out of the challenges faced by the events industry from the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of races receiving reviews on Racecheck doubled in 2022 compared to the previous year, with almost 10,000 reviews for events in 2022. The full list of award winners can be found online.
Racecheck added that the number of races qualifying for an award also increased from 33 to 69, with the off-road running category outperforming all others.
‘The awards are not chosen by the team at Racecheck, but rather by the participants who have taken part in the races. Races qualify for gold, silver, and bronze awards by achieving benchmark average ratings from the reviews they receive, making the awards a true reflection of the participants’ experiences.

The Racecheck 2022 Awards have recognised the events that consistently rated the highest across all of the Racecheck review rating criteria. The winners include a diverse range of races worldwide.
