ALÉ and FFC unveil new outfit for French Cycling team

The Fédération Française de Cyclisme (FFC) has unveiled a redesigned outfit for the elite riders of the French Cycling team. The new design is the result of a collaboration with its official apparel partner, ALÉ, which has been involved with the national governing body since 2013.

This PR-S outfit is the result of a decade of collaboration, involving constant exchanges between the FFC’s R&D-Performance unit and ALÉ’s team of technicians, who are constantly seeking new technical solutions and innovations. This work has been rewarded by a successful French team, whose athletes have won nearly 700 medals (European, World and Olympic) in the past 10 years!

ALÉ PR-S jerseys and bib shorts feature ‘Body Mapping’ technology, with an anatomical construction and fitted cut integrating antistatic carbon yarns. Light Micro Aero fabrics are strategically positioned, with an anatomical and aerodynamic collar, sleeves designed with a honeycomb fabric and a microfibre J-Stability moulded construction for the bottom of the jersey, and an S-Stability system on the shorts.

The new blue-white-red race apparel will be worn for the first time by the French team athletes at the upcoming UCI 2023 World Championships in Glasgow and at all following international competitions.

The collection will be composed of the ALÉ PR-S range but also the company’s PRIME range (jersey and shorts) and will integrate the accessories worn by the French riders.

Alessia PICCOLO, CEO of APG, owner of ALÉ, said “Our partnership with the French Cycling Federation plays a major role in our international marketing and sales development.

“It is the perfect complement to our investments in World Tour teams and gran fondo events. We are particularly proud, as an Italian manufacturer with a passion for cycling and competition, to support and equip the French team in all disciplines.

“The new design of this outfit, completely redesigned, is a strong symbol of our partnership as we celebrate 10 years of close collaboration. This federal partnership allows us to show and demonstrate to the whole world, to our customers, to our distributors and especially to the cycling community, all the assets of our brand: commitment, performance, technicality, innovation and above all quality of products 100% Made in Italy.”

Michel Callot, President of the French Cycling Federation, said “The French Cycling Federation is happy and proud to present this new outfit for the French team. I am particularly attached to the French team’s outfits, whether it be the technical, design or aesthetic aspects.”

The French Cycling Federation is celebrating the official launch of this new collection with a video, produced and directed by Agence 3L (VENISE Group) also the FFC’s official merchandising and licensing agency, which features athletes from the various French teams around the theme “Ce maillot est uni, ce maillot est unique” (“This jersey is united, this jersey is unique”).
