4GOLD unveils LiFT during the Tour de France

4GOLD launches LiFT (Lipid Fuel Technology)

4GOLD, the food technology company of pro-cyclist Mathieu van der Poel, has introduced LiFT (Lipid Fuel Technology), a new supplement claimed to revolutionise the world of sports nutrition. Unveiled during the 2023 Tour de France, 4GOLD says it represents a significant advancement in fueling sports performance.

Traditional sports nutrition focuses predominantly on carbohydrates as the primary energy source. However, LiFT aims to change the game by leveraging the latest scientific advancements to optimize the utilisation of lipids for athletes.

LiFT combines the quick energy release from medium-chain fatty acids with the sustained energy provided by long-chain fatty acids. This, it is claimed, enables muscles to access the power of lipids efficiently, leading to enhanced endurance and performance. By integrating LiFT into athletes’ carbohydrate strategies, the supplement provides an additional energy source that helps conserve glycogen stores, ultimately improving overall performance.

Brent Luyckx, co-founder and CEO of 4GOLD, emphasises the company’s commitment to incorporating the latest scientific insights. Collaborating with Bunge Nutrition, a global leader in nutritional lipids, 4GOLD has harnessed cutting-edge science in lipid metabolism and applied it to athletic performance and endurance. Detailed information about this revolutionary technology is available in a white paper published on the 4GOLD website.
