Decathlon’s premium bike brand Van Rysel is making an appearance at the VIA Criterium in Kings Cross, London, as part of the London Cycling Festival, which has reportedly doubled in size since last year’s event.
Crit riders will descend upon Kings Cross on June 21-23, 2024, to take on a fast, technical circuit, expected to be lined with thousands of spectators.
Van Rysel will celebrate and support the riders with a host of activations across the weekend and will also be showcasing its latest RCR Pro bike and spring-summer 24 range.
Van Rysel activations include:
- Unofficial Happy Hour: Relax and mingle with fellow cycling enthusiasts over drinks on Saturday from 16:00-17:00 BST.
- Cheer Zone: Taking cheer (and cowbells) to support racers near the finish line.
- Brand Village: Discover the latest RCR range, including Decathlon x AG2R pro team replica bikes, and the Van Rysel brand’s spring/summer 2024 collection. Meet the Van Rysel team and ask questions.
- Test Rides: Test ride the RCR range with own shoes and cleats. Time slots for tests are from 11:00-midday and 17:00-18:00 on Sunday, June 23rd.
Festival schedule:
- Friday, June 21: 18:00-22:00 – The Longest Day fixed wheel crit race.
- Saturday, June 22: 10:30-22:00 – Brompton World Championships, Women’s 3/4, Men’s 3/4, Kings Cross Community Race, Masters Open, Women’s Elite, Men’s Elite.
- Sunday, June 23: 10:30am-6pm – A & B Girls, A & B Boys, various youth races.
Festival attractions include: racing, brand activations, expo and retail space, demo rides, street food, live music, kids area, and stunt displays.
