It’s been a busy couple of weekends for Challenge Family’s World Bonus with the high-scoring DATEV Challenge Roth, plus the inaugural SAIL Challenge Cap Québec both shaking things up in the pro athlete standings.
The men’s bonus ranking currently has a clear leader, Jack Moody, while the women’s is closely fought with Els Visser and Aurélia Boulanger tied for first.
Challenge Family’s World Bonus provides professional athletes with the opportunity to race for a share of a US$100,000 end-of-season bonus on top of the prize purses at individual races. Points are available at selected Challenge Family events, and started with Challenge Israman in January, finishing with Challenge Florianopolis in Brazil on November 24, 2024.
The bonus pays five deep across both men and women with the top ranked pros taking home $22k, second will earn $14k and third will win $8k, fourth $4k and fifth $2k.

Following DATEV Challenge Roth, Els Visser’s third place has propelled her up the rankings from seventh to tie in first with Aurélia Boulanger on 750 points. Rebecca Robisch is now in third with 650 points just ahead of Anne Haug who enters the top five in fourth following her win in Roth. Regan Hollioake and Laura Phillip round out the women’s top five, both with 500 points.
Magnus Ditlev’s record-breaking win at DATEV Roth has put him in third place, just 40 points behind Jesper Svensson. Tom Bishop enters into bonus ranking in fourth, tied with Ognjen Stojanovic, with 500 points after securing second place in Roth in what was his first long distance race.
However, Jack Moody is the man to beat – his win at SAIL Challenge Cap Québec on Sunday has given him a clear 460 point lead ahead of Svensson, putting him in a very comfortable position with just nine qualifying races left in 2024.
