On Supertri’s ‘toughest course’, Vasco Vilaça of the Stars & Stripes team and Georgia Taylor-Brown of Crown Racing ran to victory in Toulouse, France.
In the women’s race, Georgia Taylor-Brown scored her third consecutive Supertri 2024 victory in Toulouse. Already top of the leaderboard, the Crown Racing athlete made the decisive move on the final run leg to take full command of the 2024 series with just one race to go.
The overall women’s standings now see Georgia Taylor-Brown on 45 points, Taylor Spivey and Jeanne Lehair on 39, Cassandre Beaugrand on 36, and Kate Waugh on 34.
In the men’s race, Portuguese athlete Vasco Vilaça surged to the front on the final run leg of the day to edge his Stars & Stripes’ teammate Tim Hellwig to a breakthrough win, with Crown Racing’s series leader Hayden Wilde finishing third.
The fast and furious nine-discipline mens’ race saw six elite athletes – Vilaça, Hellwig, Wilde, Léo Bergere, Kenji Nener and Vincent Luis – battling at the front of the field for much of the race’s duration.
In the men’s overall series standings, Hayden Wilde has 44 points, Léo Bergere boasts 39, Tim Hellwig is on 37, Vilaca is now on 36, while Matt Hauser has 35.
As for the team standings, Crown Racing tops the leaderboard with 323 points – followed by Podium Racing (309 points), Stars & Stripes Racing (271 points) and Brownlee Racing (226 points).
