WSC Sports acquires Infront Lab’s Engines 365 to boost digital fan engagement

WSC Sports has acquired Engines 365 from Infront Lab, in a move aimed at enhancing digital content and streaming capabilities for sports rightsholders.

The deal sees WSC Sports take over key technology assets and personnel, while the Infront Lab division of Infront ceases operations.

WSC Sports and Infront will continue to collaborate on OTT (over-the-top) services and digital consultancy services, with selected existing projects jointly managed. WSC Sports, known for its AI-driven content automation platform, will integrate Engines 365’s two core offerings into its portfolio:

  • Stream Engine: A white-label OTT platform enabling sports organisations to manage their own streaming services
  • Content Engine: A digital publishing and social media management tool designed to drive engagement

WSC Sports will assume the majority of Engines 365’s existing client contracts, ensuring service continuity. A number of Infront Lab employees are also transitioning to WSC Sports as part of the acquisition.

Infront will retain a dedicated digital account management team to oversee ongoing relationships with Infront Group clients previously supported by Infront Lab.

Daniel Shichman, CEO and Co-Founder of WSC Sports, said the move helps sports organisations “build thriving digital ecosystems that capture value throughout the entire fan journey.”

Amikam Kranz, Senior Vice President Media, Betting & Technology at Infront, said WSC Sports was “the perfect home to take these innovations to the next level,” adding that the companies will continue working together on streaming and digital consultancy.

Infront noted that the deal reflects a wider trend in the industry as rightsholders focus on direct-to-consumer strategies, first-party data, and new digital revenue models.
