Nordic Strong takes functional Nordic fitness concept to New York

Copenhagen-based training concept Nordic Strong will make its US debut this summer with a pop-up studio in the village of Sag Harbor, NY, ahead of a permanent location in Manhattan’s Flatiron District opening in the autumn/fall.

Founded in Denmark in 2022, Nordic Strong offers a workout system inspired by Nordic principles of movement and simplicity. At the core of the experience is a patented machine that mimics cross-country skiing, bringing together low-impact cardio, strength and mobility training in over 50 combinations.

Founder Nicoline Roth, a Copenhagen native, stated that Nordic Strong is about “creating a space where people can reconnect to their bodies, build resilience, and move with purpose”.

The studio offers three class formats:

  • Nordic Strong – Signature: a combination of machine intervals and dumbbell exercises targeting abs, glutes, arms and shoulders.
  • Nordic Sculpt: a slower-paced session drawing on Pilates to focus on precision, control and mindful breathwork.
  • Nordic Cardio: a high-intensity workout designed to improve endurance and VO₂ max.

The Sag Harbor pop-up opens from Memorial Day (May 2026, 2025) to Labor Day (Sep 1, 2025) at 11 Bridge Street. Classes cost US$50, with a free intro and US$84 offer for three classes. Class sizes are limited to 20.
