Kinomap has launched a new Outdoor Activities feature, allowing users to log and track real-world workouts – including running, walking, and cycling – using GPS via their smartphones.
Available now on iOS and Android, the update enables users to record outdoor sessions that are saved within their Kinomap activity history. It complements the company’s existing indoor video-based training platform, with the aim of creating a hybrid approach to fitness.
“With Outdoor Activities, we’re extending our philosophy to outdoor fitness,” said Philippe Moity, CEO and co-founder of Kinomap.
“Whether you’re riding through the countryside or jogging around your neighbourhood, you can now log those activities directly within Kinomap.”
Features include GPS tracking, performance metrics such as pace and elevation, route mapping, badges, and activity-based challenges. The update is available to both free and premium users.
Based in France, Kinomap is an interactive fitness platform with thousands of geolocated video routes for indoor training, covering terrain from around the world.
