QO launches lightweight RACE SL crankset

Spanish performance brand QO, founded by cycling engineers Pablo Carrasco and Ignacio Estellés, has unveiled its new RACE SL crankset – targeting elite-level road riders seeking lightweight performance.

Weighing just 510g with 50/34 chainrings, the QO RACE SL is claimed to be lighter than current top-tier cranks from leading groupsets, while staying within ~80g of ultra-premium boutique models. According to QO, it achieves this without resorting to subcompact gearing, maintaining drivetrain efficiency and road versatility.

The crankset features Mitsubishi Pyrofil carbon fibre for vibration damping and a sculpted carbon aesthetic, along with a cinch interface and AL7075 T6 DUB axle for broad compatibility. It is designed to work with both Shimano 12-speed and SRAM AXS flat-top chains.

QO states that the crank delivers Grand Tour-winning pedigree and engineering without ‘financial extremes’. Retail pricing is set at €899, with availability expected in Q4 2025.

QO will showcase the RACE SL at Eurobike, Hall 11.1 / Stand B46a.
