The Las Vegas Marathon has welcomed Google Fiber to its partner roster ahead of its 2025 event, taking place on October 26th.
The event organising team noted that… ‘Google Fiber will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Las Vegas Marathon App, Live Tracking and Lightning-Fast Finisher Pics.’
In preparation for race day, participants and spectators can download the Las Vegas Marathon App on Google Play and the App Store.
Google Fiber is a presenting sponsor of the Las Vegas Marathon App, but Google Fiber is not responsible for the app’s development, the provisioning of services, or its content.
Brooksee’s Laurel timing technology will power the Las Vegas Marathon App, presented by Google Fiber, providing users with a data-driven experience.
Runners and those interested in tracking their journey along the course will have access to timing and location information with 145 checkpoints along the course, averaging every 0.18 miles per checkpoint. Finisher pics will provide runners with high-quality race photos ready to view, share and celebrate within 2-3 hours of crossing the finish line.
“Brooksee was founded with the vision to create an all-in-one event production powerhouse where technological innovation and endurance events collide,” said Phil Dumontet, CEO of Brooksee.
“By collaborating with industry leaders like Google Fiber, we are continuing to work towards that vision, and can already see the great success that this is bringing to our portfolio of events.”
Earlier this year, Google Fiber worked with the Mesa Marathon, also produced by Brooksee, serving as the sponsor of the Mesa Marathon App, Live Tracking and Lightning-Fast Finisher Pics. That collaboration has led to a growing relationship between both organizations.
“Speed and connection are central to what Google Fiber does every day,” said Will Novak, Government & Community Affairs Manager for Google Fiber.
“We’re so excited to be a part of the Las Vegas Marathon and help bring this event to the streets of the city we’ll be serving with the fastest internet in Nevada.”
The Las Vegas Marathon features three distances, a marathon, half marathon and 7.02-mile course that spotlights the local 702 Las Vegas area code. Participants will kick-off the day at the Red Rock Canyon start line, weave through local city neighbourhoods.
The second-annual Las Vegas Marathon is returning after an inaugural event in 2024. Last year’s race attracted over 6,300 runners, with participants traveling from all 50 USstates and 35 countries.
In addition to the Las Vegas Marathon and the Mesa Marathon, Brooksee produces a portfolio of other road races, including the Portland Marathon, the Phoenix Marathon, and the REVEL Race Series.
