ROUVY renews with Challenge Family and DATEV Challenge Roth, and welcomes Patrick Lange and Marten Van Riel to 2026 pro roster

ROUVY x Challenge Family

Virtual cycling platform ROUVY has confirmed the renewal of its partnership with the Challenge Family international series and the ‘world’s largest long distance triathlon’, DATEV Challenge Roth in Germany.

The renewed partnership is described as marking a new chapter in ROUVY’s commitment to the triathlon community, enabling athletes to train virtually on Challenge courses at home.

As part of the new long-term collaboration, ROUVY will release an expanded collection of official Challenge Family routes, such as Challenge Forte Village and Challenge Israman. More routes are currently in development, including Challenge Samarkand, Challenge Malaysia, Lotto Challenge Gdansk, Challenge Cesenatico, Challenge Sanremo, and Challenge Sandefjord.

ROUVY has also renewed its partnership with DATEV Challenge Roth through a new four-year agreement following a one-year hiatus. It brings one of the sport’s most popular long-distance triathlon courses to ROUVY users, giving both event participants and cycling enthusiasts an experience of the Roth bike course.

Petr Samek, CEO of ROUVY, said “Our partnership with Challenge Family and DATEV Challenge Roth is about continuing to support our users so that they can train where they race. By offering more real-world routes, we’re allowing both triathletes and cyclists to experience the world’s greatest triathlon courses – anytime, anywhere.”

Elite triathletes join ROUVY
Noting its ongoing commitment to triathlon performance and the wider community, ROUVY has introduced its professional triathlete roster for 2026.

Frederic Funk, Sam Long, and Nikki Bartlett will continue their collaboration with ROUVY, offering structured workouts designed for triathletes. These sessions include a mix of VO₂ Max, threshold, and sweet spot training, as well as endurance rides.

Bartlett and Long have recently hosted popular group rides on the ROUVY platform, while Funk is set to lead a live-streamed group ride on the Challenge Wanaka route on Sunday, November 23, 2025. This gives fans and athletes the chance to train alongside him virtually.

ROUVY also welcomes Patrick Lange, three-time IRONMAN World Champion and DATEV Challenge Roth champion, to its athlete team. Lange will host a group ride in December on a virtual IRONMAN course.

Patrick Lange, professional triathlete, said “ROUVY is a game changer for my indoor training. Being able to ride real race courses in an immersive environment keeps me mentally engaged and lets me prepare with purpose.

“It’s not just about staying fit indoors, it’s about arriving at the start line already familiar with every climb, corner, and detail of the course.”

Marten Van Riel, Matthew Marquardt, Stephanie Clutterbuck, Joe Skipper, and Tom Oosterdijk also join ROUVY’s growing roster of professional triathletes.

ROUVY’s virtual offering includes the ROUVY and FulGaz platforms, while the Challenge Family international triathlon series features over 30 long- and middle-distance races across more than 20 countries.
