Event organiser British Cycling Ventures has confirmed the 18 teams taking part in the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men, scheduled to take place from September 2–6, 2026.
The five-stage race will showcase five UCI WorldTour squads, including UAE Team Emirates – XRG, currently ranked number one internationally. The team returns for its second appearance in the race, following its debut in 2025 where Pavel Sivakov secured a top-ten finish in the general classification.
British squad Netcompany INEOS maintains its unbroken participation record dating back to 2010. The team is aiming for home-soil success as it seeks to replicate its overall victory from 2013.
Joining them from the UCI WorldTour rank is Decathlon CMA CGM Team, which features seven-time Tour of Britain stage winner Olav Kooij, alongside the Swiss-registered NSN Cycling Team, featuring British rider Lewis Askey.
The top-tier field is completed by Belgian team Soudal Quick-Step. The squad remains the most successful team in modern Tour of Britain history, having secured at least one stage victory in every edition it has contested since 2004, tallying 27 stage wins and two overall titles.
The UCI ProTeam entry includes Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, featuring 2022 race runner-up Tom Pidcock and British national road race champion Fred Wright. The Swiss squad will aim to repeat its 2023 team classification victory.
Fellow Swiss squad Tudor Pro Cycling Team returns for its second appearance after placing third overall in 2025 with 2018 race winner Julian Alaphilippe.
Belgian squad Team Flanders – Baloise makes its 13th appearance in the event. The team won the inaugural edition of the modern race in 2004 and secured the king of the mountains jersey in 2025 through Victor Vercouillie. American outfit Modern Adventure Pro Cycling completes the ProTeam field, making its race debut.
Eight UCI Continental teams will compete in the 2026 edition, with all eight making their event debut:

French outfit St Michel – Preference Home – Auber93 brings three decades of professional racing history to the event, while German squad BIKE AID combines professional racing with humanitarian initiatives focused on developing cycling infrastructure in emerging regions.
The Great Britain Cycling Team will participate for the 19th time, giving emerging British talent the opportunity to race against international WorldTour competition.

The 2026 Lloyds Tour of Britain Men starts on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, with opening stages in Lincolnshire, beginning in Lincoln before running from Boston to Skegness.
Stages three and four head to Yorkshire, running from Hull to Beverley before traversing the Yorkshire Dales from Helmsley to Leyburn.
The race concludes in the Scottish Borders on Sunday, September 6, 2026, with the village of Earlston hosting a stage finish for the first time to decide the general classification.
