Global sports wearables brand Amazfit has launched the T-Rex Dual Solar sports watch in Europe, featuring a dual solar panel configuration powered by ceramic-glass panels. The system integrates one solar panel into the display, alongside a second, larger panel built into the watch’s caseback.

The dual solar system is designed for outdoor endurance use and long-distance hiking. The front display panel generates energy while worn on the wrist, whereas the rear panel is intended for use during breaks when the smartwatch can be removed and positioned towards the sun. The rear panel features twice the surface area of the front panel, doubling the charging speed.
Three hours of daily exposure to 50,000 lux of light (equivalent to light cloud cover) extends battery performance across usage modes. Under typical usage, Amazfit notes that the front panel extends battery life from 25 to 34 days, while the rear panel extends operation up to 51 days. Under heavier usage, battery life increases from 13 days to 15 or 18 days respectively. In outdoor extreme mode, battery life reaches up to 180 days with continuous solar replenishment.
Constructed for outdoor conditions, the rear solar panel uses ceramic glass, paired with a bezel and four buttons crafted from Grade 5 titanium. The 1.32-inch AMOLED display is protected by sapphire glass and delivers a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. The device operates in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +70°C.
Training and navigation features include:
- Advanced Hybrid Training tools via the Zepp App for tracking fatigue, fitness, and recovery
- Training Balance and Weekly Focus features to monitor strength and endurance planning
- Biometric Anomaly Detector, Battery Assistant, and blood oxygen saturation monitoring
- Six satellite positioning systems, including GPS and Galileo, with turn-by-turn navigation
- Topographic maps with contour lines, ski maps, waypoints, and color-coded elevation profiles
- Integrated LED flashlight with a 200-lux white light beam, 300-lux Boost mode, and SOS functionality
The European version of the smartwatch supports NFC payments. Pre-orders opened on September 22, 2026, via Amazfit’s European websites and select retail partners, with a recommended retail price of €649.90.
