UK based wetsuit, apparel and swim accessories specialist Huub has joined the Garmin Iron Triathlon in Poland as a sponsor partner. Huub, which only last October celebrated its first birthday, has an increasing focus on the burgeoning Polish triathlon market.
This latest sponsorship tie-up for Huub in Poland follows its involvement with the Volvo Triathlon 2013, which marked the first sponsorship outside of the UK by Huub.
Dean Jackson, Huub founder, recently explained the appeal of the Polish market. He said, “We are delighted to have such a proactive distributor who wishes to align with some great events and brands in the emerging Polish market.
“Triathlon we have seen grow globally and post Olympics we are expecting another surge – not only in markets with a triathlon foundation, but also new adopting countries to the sport.”
In 2013, the Garmin Iron Triathlon encompasses four main events: Triathlon Malbork, Triathlon Szczecinek, Triathlon Radków and Triathlon ?lesin.
Participants at the Garmin Iron Triathlon 2013 will get the chance to win a range of Huub prizes. Most importantly, for the swim-focused company, the event provides an opportunity to meet with local triathletes before each event in the series. Here, athletes can get tips on swimming and sample products during the event expo.
