SNO Iceland Glacier Water has been announced as the official water partner of The Jenson Button Trust Triathlon. The event, which will see 700 competitors race against the Formula 1 driver in a sprint triathlon, is in support of UK based charity Help for Heroes and takes place on 14 July at the Luton Hoo estate in Bedfordshire, England.
The water partnership with SNO follows another sponsorship deal in June with Chobani Yoghurt, which was confirmed as the ‘official fuel provider’ of the charity tri event.
Commenting on the latest sponsor deal, Jenson Button said, “A big thank you to SNO for supporting my triathlon and keeping competitors hydrated throughout the day.”
Paul Kincaid, General Manager at SNO Iceland Glacier Water, added “We are very excited to be part of the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon to raise money for Help for Heroes; we look forward to supporting the competitors and spectators on the day.”
The Jenson Button Trust Triathlon was devised by the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver, a keen triathlete, as part of his training and to raise money for good causes. Last year’s inaugural event raised over £27,000 for Help for Heroes.
Competitors will each take part in a 300m lake swim, 9K bike and 2.5K run, all within the grounds of the beautiful Luton Hoo estate. The top 50 from each wave will then go into a final consisting of 750m swim, 19K bike and 5K run.
Joining SNO and Chobani are Santander, Huub and Maxinutrition who will all be supporting this year’s event.
