Australia’s ‘biggest and most popular triathlon’, The Noosa Triathlon, is the opening act for a new suite of triathlon and multisport events to be broadcast on Channel 7 and 7mate in Australia, including all Asia Pacific Ironman and IM 70.3 events.
Starting with the iconic Noosa Triathlon, which was contested by some of Australia’s leading athletes at Noosa Heads in Queensland on Sunday 3 November, commercial TV network Seven will telecast highlights of many key triathlon events for the Asia-Pacific region on Channel 7 and 7mate.
Geoff Meyer, CEO of Ironman Asia Pacific, said “We are delighted to have Seven as our broadcast partner for the next three years, which will see increased coverage of our Ironman events and world renowned Noosa and Mooloolaba Triathlon Multi Sport Festivals.”

The two-hour highlights package of the Noosa Triathlon coverage will be shown on Sunday 10 November nationwide across Australia at 13:30 – 15:30 local time on 7mate. (7mate is an Australian free-to-air high definition digital television channel, which was launched by the Seven Network in 2010.)
Seven has already telecast highlights of the 2013 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, with the women’s event won by Australian elite triathlete Mirinda Carfrae.
