40% uplift in exhibitors at Eurobike Demo Day

Eurobike Demo Day, which will be held on the main show fairgrounds in Friedrichshafen, Germany, for the first time on Tuesday 26 August 2014, is experiencing a marked 40% increase in exhibitors.

“147 companies from 30 countries have registered for the test event, which has grown in area by about 17%,” said Eurobike Project Leader Dirk Heidrich. For many exhibitors, the move from Argenbühl to the main show fairgrounds was a convincing reason to be present at Eurobike Demo Day, along with their newest products and innovations.

The organisers continue to point out that, for visitors, but especially for exhibitors, the simplified logistics were decisive in their decision to take advantage of Demo Day as a way to establish initial contacts with trade visitors and the media on the day before the Eurobike’s official opening.

For exhibitors, the decision to move Demo Days was seen as a big ‘move in the right direction’. Now they can better and more easily coordinate their assembly at the fairgrounds with their participation in Demo Day. On this day, the north entrance road to the fairgrounds will be closed to automobiles from 10:00 to 17:00 CET, so that it will be possible to largely offer visitors the pleasure of car-free biking.

The test courses begin right on the exhibition grounds and lead through the adjacent forest on up to a scenic viewing platform. There, the test riders will be rewarded with a beautiful view of Lake Constance and the Alps. Three large circuits totalling more than 20 kilometres in length and divided into on-road and off-road sections await industry visitors. In the last few months, a special test area that includes pump tracks and flow country trails was built for the mountain bikers.

Eurobike, which takes place from 27-30 August 2014, enjoys a reputation as a premiere-packed trade show. Strong media attention is guaranteed, something which is reinforced by its event-like character. In total, more than 1,320 exhibitors, over 45,000 industry visitors and about 2,000 journalists from around the world are expected at the Eurobike.
