After having had some valuable time out after 4.5 years working on the London 2012 Olympic triathlon and having departed from Human Race post-sale, John Lunt has formed a new company called Bspoke Events to deliver ‘some new and interesting projects’.

There are exciting times ahead for this prolific race organiser who can’t keep away from the sport he loves! John has lived and breathed the sport of triathlon since 1984. (He has raced IRONMAN Nice nine times and finished nine Iron distance races including IRONMAN Hawaii in 1994).

Three events from Bspoke Events coming up are the Poole Swim, which will be delivered in Poole, Dorset, on 12 September 2015 with a 3K and 1500m ocean swim; the St Lucia Triathlon in the Caribbean on 21 November with Steve Cram and Daley Thompson; and a new triathlon on the south coast, the Brighton and Hove Triathlon on 11 September 2016.

John is also pleased to announce a number of partners who are signing up to his events. One is Bloodwise – the new name for the charity Leukaemia Research.

“It’s fantastic to be working with Bloodwise again,” said John Lunt. “They have an amazing passion for sport and triathlon; they do some incredible work supporting people with blood cancers and are a really important charity to support.”

John added, “Organising events is in my blood and its great to back creating events that people enjoy.”
