With cycling seen to be booming worldwide, and with bike shops inundated with new & old customers, tech solution Hubtiger has been looking to connect the cycling community. The platform helps cyclists look after their bike and connect with their local bike shop.
Hubtiger started in South Africa and has global aspirations. It recently entered the UK and Asia Pacific region, signing up bike shop chains such as Pure Electric and Handlebars. To date, it has reportedly processed over 50,000 bike services in six countries and is also translated into five languages.
The Hubtiger mobile app is designed to keep the cyclist riding, syncing directly with Strava to monitor the bike’s wear and tear, and notifying the cyclist when it’s time for a service.
The app keeps track of individual components, and sends a notification when it’s time to replace them. When that time comes, the cyclist can book and pay for a service at his/her local bike shop straight from the app, arrange pick-ups and drop-offs, and get regular service status updates.
For a bike shop, Hubtiger notes that its solution connects the shop to its customers, then handles every aspect of the workshop’s operations, including online bookings, service reminders, automated communication and job card scheduling. It Integrates into Vend and other POS solutions for a ‘seamless experience’.
