X-Bow is a new saddle from Selle Italia dedicated to those who ride in off-road environments, from mountain biking to gravel.
The new product is targeted at those looking for a saddle that offers comfort and stability, achieved thanks to a new rail fixing technique patented by Selle Italia. X-Box is available with rails in TI316 or Fec Alloy and in fill and Superflow versions.
Dedicated to the mountain biking, enduro, ebike and gravel disciplines, X-Bow is the result of specific studies that led Selle Italia to patent its innovative rail fixing technique, which claims to offer a number of new advantages.
In the X-Bow, the rail is fixed in the rearmost part of the saddle, almost on the edge, thus freeing the part of the body on which the ischial bones and perineal areas press, in turn limiting the pressure exerted by these zones on the saddle.
In addition, the rail also allows greater regulation of the saddle as a new rail positioning technique allows a larger area on which to fix the saddle post. According to Selle Italia, this means greater flexibility for the rider’s fit.
X-Bow also helps further cushion vibrations caused by rough terrain and the stresses typical of off-road disciplines, thanks to the presence of shock-absorbers between the rail and body.
The rail is also featured in the saddle logo’s design… ‘indicating how the importance of this new product is entirely contained in this part of the saddle.’
The new off-road saddle is a short, neutrally shaped offering with the rear part slightly raised for greater stability. It features a Soft-Tek covering and is available in two versions, one with a TI316 rail and one Fec Alloy.
Both models, each with different graphics, will be supplied only with a drilled body, but with the option for padding with or without the Superflow hole, and with a choice of size S or L.
