Over the weekend of September 21-22, obstacle course racing (OCR) specialist, Tough Mudder, took over the picturesque Holmbush Estate in West Sussex, south of London.
With its Tough Mudder London South event billed as ‘the biggest and best Tough Mudder event’ in the UK, this year saw a record-breaking 15,000 participants lacing up and diving into the mud over the two-day event weekend.
Matthew Brookes, Managing Director of Tough Mudder, said “Tough Mudder London South was more than just a race; it was a record-breaking event with 15,000 participants, offering an unforgettable experience that pushed boundaries, fostered teamwork, and created lasting memories.
“The key to conquering the course was bringing together a strong, united team. It took more than just fitness to reach the finish line, as participants were challenged to go further than they ever imagined.”
According to Tough Mudder, the venue of Holmbush Estate and the scale achieved by Tough Mudder London South help to set it apart. This year, the event was also taken up a notch with the introduction of Tough Mudder camping, with a focus on… ‘turning the challenge into a weekend-long celebration.’
