Athlete training platform, Humango, has announced a partnership with professional triathlete Frederic Funk, a three-time IRONMAN 70.3 race winner.
German athlete Funk joins the Humango lineup just days after his 2024 race debut, which saw him place ninth overall at the PRO T100 in Singapore (3:31:24). Funk’s training regimen, which has seen him become one of the world’s elite endurance athletes, will be part of a new virtual training club on Humango called ‘What the Funk’.
The platform allows for endurance and fitness enthusiasts to follow Funk’s training insight, tips, and race advice to meet their race day and health and wellness goals. All new users will receive a 37-day free trial with the What the Funk virtual training club.
“I‘m proud of my new partnership with Humango,” said Frederic Funk. “The AI is a great addition and tool for my training program and helps me analyze my sessions even better.
“On my virtual training club “What the Funk“,users can connect with me and each other, join group sessions, ask questions, and check out my favourite training sessions. I’m very excited for this journey with Humango and my community.”
The 26 year-old Funk becomes the latest addition to the growing Humango roster which features Matt Hanson (professional triathlete and coach), Pav Bryan (master cycling coach), Raeleigh Harris (head coach), and Lance Watson (advisor and Olympics coach).
Humango’s partnership with Funk is the latest for the brand, which has recently aligned with From The Ground Up, a documentary series that chronicles the journeys of four novice athletes. It has also tied up with Challenge Family and UTC-ButcherBox Cycling p/b LOOK, and serves as the training technology of the Escape From Alcatraz.
