Global online fitness platform Zwift and the folding bike brand Brompton are merging two distinct cycling worlds this November, taking urban short-course rides to the virtual arena.
From November 17-23, 2025, Zwifters will be able to join the Virtual Brompton World Championships, a week-long series of fast, short-format rides… ‘celebrating personality and playful performance.’
The event takes inspiration from Brompton’s real-world gatherings, inviting riders to forgo standard race gear and instead ‘don their finest’ for a virtual ride. The virtual racing action takes place on a specially themed course in Zwift’s London map, complete with custom Brompton banners and arches, before finishing on the Mall.
This partnership marks Brompton’s debut on Zwift, introducing its unique urban cycling culture to a new, international audience. To celebrate the collaboration, any Zwifter who completes a Virtual Brompton World Championships event will unlock an exclusive in-game Brompton kit, inspired by the brand’s tweed aesthetic.
Riders looking for a virtual urban ride can also acquire the Brompton P Line in the Zwift Drop Shop, purchasing the virtual bike with their hard-earned Drops.
Zwift and Brompton emphasise that the collaboration is focused on community and style over pure competition. Riders are encouraged to join, whether they are chasing a sprint, enjoying a casual spin with friends, or simply dressing up for the occasion.
Before the virtual action kicks off, Zwift and Brompton will unveil their collaboration at Rouleur Live, the UK’s premium cycling show, from November 13-15, 2025.
Attendees at Rouleur Live will get a first look at the ultra-limited Brompton P Line for Zwift and will be able to test their sprint prowess on a custom Zwift setup featuring Brompton bikes mounted on modified Wahoo KICKR trainers.
One winner, drawn at random from those who try the Brompton setup at the Zwift booth at the show, will win a bespoke physical Brompton P Line for Zwift.
