The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), World Triathlon, and the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) have announced a multi-year partnership to take the Spain T100 Triathlon race to Pamplona, Navarra, Northern Spain, on May 23-24, 2026.
The event will feature a professional 100km race, which will be broadcast on the PTO’s international network, as well as a 100km amateur triathlon. The 2026 Spain T100 will also include the Spanish Middle Distance National Championships.
Pamplona is famous for the San Fermín festival and its Running of the Bulls event in July. Beyond the festival, the city is known for its history, culture, and medieval streets.
The area has hosted the Half Triathlon Pamplona–Iruña since 2015. The Spain T100 Triathlon will be organised in partnership with local triathlon clubs Trikideak and Navarra Triathlon Federation, and is backed by the Pamplona City Council and the Navarra Government.
The race features a swim in the Alloz Reservoir, followed by a bike leg through the Navarrese countryside, and concludes with an 18km run through Pamplona’s historic old town, finishing in the Plaza del Castillo.
The PTO stated that it has enjoyed delivering races in Spain since its early days and is excited to announce the multi-year hosting agreement to make Pamplona the new home of T100 in Spain.
The organisation added that Pamplona has an impressive reputation for hosting triathlon events, thanks to the success of the Half Triathlon Pamplona–Iruña, and proved its international pedigree by hosting the European Middle Distance Championships earlier this year.

Our environment offers the perfect setting for a wide range of sports.”

Pamplona is the third destination in Spain to host a T100 race, after Ibiza in 2024 and Oropesa del Mar earlier this year. It joins the Gold Coast, Singapore, Vancouver, Dubai, and Qatar as confirmed dates on the T100 Triathlon World Tour in 2026.
Last month, the PTO and World Triathlon announced revisions to the 2026 T100 Triathlon World Tour format, including an adapted competition schedule, removal of season-long contract commitments, and increased event prize money.
