IRONMAN and Precision Fuel & Hydration (PF&H) have confirmed that PF&H will become the Official Hydration Partner of the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 international triathlon series, starting in 2026.
This expanded partnership builds upon PF&H’s role in Europe, Oceania, and South Africa in 2025. It now extends to include all IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events in North America, ensuring consistency in on-course hydration internationally.
From 2026, PF&H’s PH 1000 electrolyte drink will be available on-course at all IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 triathlons, including the 2026 IRONMAN World Championship race in Kona, Hawai’i, and the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship race in Nice, France.
PH 1000 is formulated to deliver 1,000mg of sodium per litre, which is approximately double the sodium content of a typical sports drink. PF&H states that its research from thousands of sweat tests shows the average athlete loses around 950mg of sodium per litre of sweat, making the PH 1000 an appropriate strength for on-course use.
The product is Informed Sport Certified and features a mild citrus flavour to minimise flavour fatigue. The PH 1000 is low-calorie, allowing athletes to separate their fuelling and hydration strategies. At IRONMAN events carbohydrates will be provided by on-course fuelling partner Maurten.

In addition to the on-course product, all athletes participating in IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events will have access to PF&H’s free Hydration Planner, an online tool offering personalised guidance for race-day hydration. Athletes can also access free video consultations with PF&H’s Athlete Support team.
