The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series has announced that Mexico City will host the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Mexico City on Sunday, December 14, 2025. The event will host both half marathon and 10K distances.
The announcement marks the return of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series to Mexico for the first time since 2019. With a mixture of music, entertainment, and community immersion, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Mexico City half marathon & 10K will take place during the morning hours, treating all participants to a race experience that highlights one of the largest cities in the world through its culture, modern architecture, historic plazas, and atmosphere.
As the capital of Mexico, Mexico City offers a fusion of ancient history, museums, restaurants and bars, shopping malls, top shows, concerts, parks and more.
Race week will kick-off on Friday, December 12, 2025 when the Health and Fitness Expo opens to the public, featuring some of the latest products and trends in the running industry. Then on December 14, runners of all levels from around the world will then take Reforma Ave, one of the most significant streets in the city on Sunday, for the 10K and half marathon.
After starting out on Reforma Ave, race participants will experience the city’s streets, buildings, churches, and parks before they eventually make their way to the finish line. Playing along the history of Mexico City, the musically-themed event will amp up the on-course bands and DJs for competitors to enjoy as they race their way to a finish line after-party festival.
