US-based event technology provider RunSignup has unveiled new artificial intelligence (AI) developments designed to support race directors & timers, including a free AI Chatbot and a new AI-powered coding interface called RunSignup AI for Vibe Coding.
The RunSignup AI Chatbot offers automated customer support for events. According to the event registration and tech firm, early adopters have reported a reduction in customer service emails of over 70%, with some noting time savings of 5-10 hours per week.
Daniel Beasley, the new RunSignup team member behind the chatbot rollout, previously founded AI customer service tools Queu.ai and EventSavvy.ai. Beasley said, “I am excited to bring AI-based customer service technology to tens of thousands of events.”

The AI Chatbot will continue to expand, with future features including contact form integration, participant management tools, and chat history access – all offered at no additional cost to existing customers.
In parallel, RunSignup AI for Vibe Coding introduces a standardised Open API with OAuth2 integration. This enables event organisers to build custom dashboards and tools without developers, using AI interfaces. The OAuth2 protocol also ensures secure access to sensitive data such as fundraising totals.
