3T marks ten years of Exploro with Primo² WPNT 10th Anniversary

3T Primo2 WPNT 10th Anniversary special edition bike

Italian bicycle manufacturer 3T Cycling has unveiled the Primo² WPNT 10th Anniversary, a special edition gravel bicycle celebrating ten years since the launch of the brand’s original Exploro model.

Headquartered in Presezzo, Bergamo, Italy, 3T first introduced the Exploro in 2016 to combine road aerodynamics with off-road capability, creating what it describes as the ‘aero gravel’ category.

The new anniversary bicycle was presented at the Santini headquarters in Bergamo, Italy, during the Jeroboam Gravel 2026 event. The launch was accompanied by an exhibition showcasing key models from the project’s ten-year development history.

First launched in 2016, the original 3T Exploro featured a white-and-red finish, a carbon frame, aerodynamic tubing, and geometry designed for speed across both paved and unpaved surfaces.

In 2018, the company introduced the FM (Flat Mount) version, featuring the Fango fork, top-access seatpost clamp, slimmer thru-axles, and updated brake mounting as standard.

The frame has also been used for artistic projects under the company’s Get Creative! initiative, initiated in 2018 by Giorgio Dalla Costa. Italian framebuilder Dario Pegoretti also created a custom painted version for the company.

In 2022, 3T updated the model line, adopting the name Primo for the entry-level model as a nod to the original frame.

In competitive racing, Matthew Stephens rode an Exploro to victory at Dirty Kanza (now UNBOUND Gravel) in 2017. Federico Damiani and Andrea Galanti won the pairs category at the 2019 Atlas Mountain Race on the platform, while Belgian rider Hanne Van Loock achieved podium finishes and Elite Gravel World Championship qualification in 2025.

Earlier in 2026, 3T launched the Primo², designed as an accessible all-road and gravel bike. The Primo² WPNT 10th Anniversary edition features graphics that layer visual design elements, logos, and colourways from 2016–2026 over a glossy chalk-white base.

The frame also incorporates graphic reproductions of original engineering documents, including technical notes, colour names, paint codes, and finish specs used during development.

The Primo² WPNT 10th Anniversary became available on July 16, 2026, sold both as a frameset and in three complete build options.
