ABUS has announced a new collaboration with former cycling professional Jan Ullrich. The partnership brings together the former professional cyclist with the security manufacturer’s road bike helmets and bike locks.

As part of the collaboration, Jan Ullrich will primarily utilise the GameChanger 2.0 and AirBreaker 2.0 road bike helmets, and will be involved in various communication and event formats for the brand.

Jan Ullrich remains a recognisable figure in international cycling following his Tour de France victory in 1997 and an Olympic Gold Medal at the 2000 Games in Sydney. Today, he engages with the cycling community as a guest speaker at endurance events, as a television commentator, and through a joint podcast with Rick Zabel.

Christian Rothe, Member of the Executive Board at ABUS, said “Jan Ullrich embodies a unique combination of passion for cycling and a strong, active connection to the community. He inspires people far beyond the world of professional sports and reaches both ambitious road cyclists and everyday cyclists. We are very pleased to have him as a partner by our side.”

Jan Ullrich added “I am very much looking forward to working with ABUS. Safety and quality play a crucial role for me on every ride. ABUS products combine modern technology, comfort, and protection at the highest level – exactly what I expect from my equipment.”

Founded in 1924 and based in Wetter/Ruhr, Germany, ABUS is an international manufacturer of mobile security product solutions. The family-owned company group operates worldwide, employing around 4,000 people across 25 branches in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia.
