Castelli has applied its Rosso Corsa treatment to its gravel range for the first time with the launch of the Unlimited Speedsuit and Unlimited Pro 2 Jersey. Based in Fonzaso, Italy, the company uses the Rosso Corsa label for its highest-level products… ‘representing the pinnacle of its technology for athletes demanding performance in aerodynamics and comfort.’
The new garments take road racing developments and apply them to off-road environments. The Unlimited Pro 2 Jersey, which also forms the upper portion of the Unlimited Speedsuit, provides a close-to-body aerodynamic fit. It features a CFD-optimised shoulder fabric and seam construction designed to reduce drag at high speeds.
The Air_O Stretch body fabric is intended to balance breathability and comfort while providing UPF 30 protection, with the fabric claiming to block 97% of UV rays. The design includes an integrated rear pouch to secure 1.5L hydration bladders and hose loops, complemented by three open pockets and a zippered security option.
The Unlimited Speedsuit pairs the jersey with Free Aero Race S Bibshorts. These are constructed from aerodynamic Forza2 Stretch fabric, which according to the company delivers a 3% decrease in CdA (aero drag). They also feature a Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad for long-distance comfort.
The shorts have been adapted for gravel by adding nutrition pockets to the front central quad position. This allows access to gels and bars while intended to eliminate the aerodynamic drag associated with side pockets.
Steve Smith, Global Brand Manager at Castelli, said “With the popularity of gravel continuing to grow and the racing getting increasingly faster, the time was right to take all our Rosso Corsa knowledge and experience, and take it off-road.
“Feed zones in gravel racing have become increasingly risky and stressful, but with our Unlimited Speedsuit incorporating hydration pouches and nutrition pockets, riders should be able to fly through them risk-free.”
The Unlimited Speedsuit has been used in competition by Castelli Spirit of Gravel Cabal rider Rob Britton, who wore a prototype to victory at the 2025 UNBOUND XL.
Rob Britton said “I received the Unlimited Speedsuit the day before UNBOUND, and as well as fitting really well, the leg pockets worked a charm – nothing moved around – and the hydration pocket was dialed. I was also able to replace the bladder quickly during the race.”
The Unlimited Speedsuit is available in two colourways, including Vivid Orange/Hot Sauce-Black and Mango Mojito/Black/Ivory, with an RRP of US$420.00, €350.00, or £360.00.
The Unlimited Pro 2 Men’s Jersey is available in three colourways – Elmwood, Black, and Paprika – while the women’s version comes in Forest Green/Elmwood and Vivid Orange/Paprika. The jersey RRP is US$230.00, €180.00, or £189.00.
Founded in 1876, Castelli has a long history in cycling apparel innovation, having introduced the first Lycra shorts and various aerodynamic suits. Its products are designed in Italy and tested by UCI WorldTour athletes.
