RunSignup University 2026 opens enrolment for race director education

US-based technology provider RunSignup has opened enrolment for the third iteration of its educational programme, RunSignup University.

This year’s race director education event, which provides hands-on sessions for race directors and endurance industry professionals, is scheduled to take place in Saint Paul, MN, on June 17–18, 2026.

As a leading technology solution for endurance events in the US, RunSignup developed the university format to differ from traditional industry conferences… ‘by focusing on practical workshops with tangible outputs.’

Attendees can customise their own schedules from a variety of classes covering industry best practices, product introductions, as well as targeted group sessions designed to encourage collaboration between peers.

The curriculum for the 2026 session includes a range of topics such as event websites, email drip campaigns, and the integration of AI into daily event management workflows.

Participants will also have access to ‘Study Hall’, which provides a dedicated opportunity for one-on-one consultations with RunSignup team members for specific advice and technical assistance. Outside of the classroom environment, the event includes group meals, a happy hour, and a morning fun run to facilitate networking within the event organising community.

The programme is open to a wide range of professionals, including experienced race directors looking to maximise technology usage and newer organisers seeking to improve their knowledge base. While the summer university focuses on the technology platform for race directors, RunSignup noted that specific training for timers is offered separately at its annual Timer Education Summit during the autumn/fall or winter months.

Registration is not restricted to existing customers of the company.

Bob Bickel, CEO and Founder at RunSignup, said “While we offer extensive online resources such as webinars and how-tos, there is no replacement for in-person education.

“RunSignup University gives us the opportunity to meet with race directors and timers face-to-face and work through real-world event challenges using technology and our collective knowledge base. We look forward to welcoming a new class in 2026.”

Early admission for the event is now open. Prospective attendees can review a preliminary class list and access an AI University Advisor for assistance with the enrollment process.
