Columbus expands range with new cockpits and carbon forks

Milanese tubing and components manufacturer Columbus has expanded its collection of carbon handlebars and forks with a new range of components designed across road, all-road and gravel riding.

On July 30, 2026, the company introduced three new lightweight integrated handlebars, marking the first integrated cockpits in its portfolio, alongside three new carbon forks.

The new cockpit solutions include the aero and lightweight Spirit Racing integrated bar and stem designed for the road; the Futura cockpit tailored for all-road riding with a compact geometry and wide flare; and the Cento integrated bar and stem engineered for gravel adventures. These additions join the existing Trittico road handlebar and stem options in the range.

In addition to the cockpits, Columbus added two new gravel-specific carbon forks to its lineup. According to the company, the new Futura Fast Gravel is designed for racing without compromising ride feel, while the Futura Divide is crafted for longer adventure riding, accommodating 29-inch wheels and 2.3-inch tyres. The brand also launched the Trefoil Allroad fork, joining the existing Trefoil Road version to offer increased versatility and tyre choice when moving off paved roads.

Victor Luis, Chairman of Columbus, said “For more than a century, Columbus has built its reputation on advancing the materials and engineering at the soul of cycling. The Components range carries that same philosophy forward, now offering a complete, expertly engineered system for road, gravel and everything in between.

“Every option is developed with a focus on thoughtful design, performance, durability and refined handling, so that riders feel the difference in confidence and control over any distance. The introduction of our first fully integrated cockpit solutions is a natural evolution of the range – a considered step that brings greater precision and integration to the front end for riders looking for performance without compromising design.”

The company also updated its Futura Adventure fork. The refreshed design allows for increased tyre clearance of up to 32 inches, which according to the company makes it the only fork in the Columbus range compatible with the new 32-inch standard for mountain bikes in order to improve stability, traction, and rollover.

Columbus introduced carbon fibre manufacturing alongside its steel and aluminium tubing capabilities in the early 2000s. It initially focused on carbon fork production before expanding into structural frame components, including its XLR8R carbon tubing range. The latest component portfolio includes performance seatposts, Racespoons for front-end computer and accessory mounts, and lightweight bottle cages.

The Spirit Racing Integrated Cockpit features an optimised wing profile top bar and a ‘3 finger zone’ design on the flared drops. It weighs 340g in size 380mm x 110mm, features a 115mm drop, 75mm reach, and 6-degree flare, with 15 sizes available for €699.

The Futura Allroad Integrated Cockpit offers a compact geometry with a 120mm drop, 70mm reach, and 7-degree flare. It includes a calculated top bar recess to allow for a smooth bar tape wrap to the mid-section, weighing 357g in size 400mm x 110mm. It is available in 12 sizes for €699.

The Cento Gravel Integrated Cockpit features a shallow 113mm drop, 85mm reach, and 8-degree flare. Weighing 340g in size 420mm x 100mm, it comes in nine sizes priced at €699.

Among the new forks, the Futura Fast Gravel is built using T700s and HFM carbon fibre, featuring internal cable routing, carbon dropouts with aluminium inserts, a tapered steerer, and tyre clearance up to 50mm, priced at €650.

The Futura Divide Fork includes a 1.5-inch oversize steerer, Multi-Rake system, bikepacking eyelets, dynamo hub internal routing, and clearance for 63mm tyres, priced at €630. The Trefoil Allroad Fork features a 380mm axle-to-crown height, hidden mudguard mounts, luggage eyelets, and clearance for 45mm tyres for €650.
