Swiss sports brand On has announced the addition of elite British triathlete Kat Matthews to its international athlete ambassador roster.
The professional triathlete, known for her long-distance performances and record-breaking speed, joins the Zurich-based company to represent its footwear and apparel lines.
Matthews began her professional career in 2019, claiming a European Championship title within four months of full-time training. She has since established herself as a leading figure in the sport, becoming a multi-time world championship silver medalist. Notably, she was the first woman to complete a full-distance triathlon in under eight hours, recording a time of 7:31:57 at the Pho3nix Sub8 Project.
During the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Matthews secured consecutive overall titles in the IRONMAN Pro Series. In April 2025, she set a world-best time for the IRONMAN-branded full distance at the North American Championship in Texas, finishing in 8:10:34. She later improved her personal best to 8:05:13 during the same year at IRONMAN Hamburg.

The British athlete is also recognised for her recovery and return to competition following a significant training accident in 2022. At the 2025 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, HI, she recorded a historic course record for the run leg, completing the marathon in 2:47:23.

Founded in 2010 by Olivier Bernhard, David Allemann, and Caspar Coppetti, On has grown from a specialist running brand into an international sportswear entity. The company’s headquarters, known as On Labs, is located in Zurich, Switzerland, where it develops its CloudTec and LightSpray technologies.
The brand’s expansion into triathlon includes a range of performance products such as trisuits, running footwear, and technical apparel. Matthews joins a roster that has historically included other high-profile triathletes, such as Olympic champion Nicola Spirig.
On currently operates in more than 80 countries. The company notes that it continues to focus on the intersection of high-performance engineering and athlete-led design.
