Getahead partners with HYROX Race For Impact fundraising initiative

Mental performance platform Getahead has announced a partnership with Race For Impact, the international fundraising initiative from hybrid fitness racing series HYROX and non-profit organisation High Impact Athletes.

The collaboration will provide charity competitors with mental performance support whilst directing a portion of subscription revenues toward mental health causes.

Getahead is the Official Mental Training Partner of HYROX, the event organiser that combines 8x1km runs with eight functional workout stations at mass-participation events across more than 30 countries.

Under the terms of the agreement, every athlete competing via the Race For Impact initiative will receive three months of free access to Getahead Premium. Participants will also gain access to race-week mental preparation training developed specifically for athletes by sports psychologists.

Additionally, 20% of every new Getahead subscription generated through the partnership will be donated directly to mental health charities via Race For Impact.

Race For Impact was launched by High Impact Athletes and HYROX to allow everyday fitness competitors to raise funds for verified charities. Participants purchase a charity ticket and select causes across sectors such as global health, women’s empowerment, climate solutions, animal welfare and mental health.

According to the organisation, the fundraising programme has raised more than £4.1m in under a year. Mental health has emerged as the most selected cause among competitors, receiving over 40% of total funds raised and supporting more than 100,000 people with treatment for conditions such as anxiety and depression.

The Getahead application utilizes behavioural science and automated systems to provide athletes with mental training plans, daily drills and performance tracking designed to build focus, motivation and emotional control under competitive pressure.

Chris McAdam, Founder of Getahead and a former professional rugby player, said “Race week is where the mind matters most. The training is done; what’s left is how you focus, think and handle the pressure of the start line.

“Partnering with Race For Impact means we can put proper mental preparation in the hands of thousands of athletes racing for something bigger than themselves. And because every subscription sends funding back to mental health causes, getting your own head right helps someone else with theirs. That’s everything Getahead was built for.”

Hugo Inglis, Co-Founder and Managing Director of High Impact Athletes, said “Fitness is often where people turn when they want to work on their mental health. Yet it’s so easy to forget to train the mind, and for most of us it is the key that unlocks performance. Through this partnership with Getahead we can support charity racers to get their mental game dialled in before they hit the start line.

“Many of these athletes are also raising funds for the highest-impact mental-health charities, so the effort they’re putting in for themselves is helping fund care for someone else too.”

Ahead of their respective events, Race For Impact athletes will unlock exclusive digital resources within the platform’s app, such as guided pre-race visualisation modules and ‘Power Words’ exercises to help anchor competitive motivation.

The partnership made its live debut on June 18–21, 2026, at the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. During the event, the partners hosted on-site activations including guided sauna sessions with sports psychologists and live mindset coaching workshops for competitors.

High Impact Athletes connects sports participants with charities evaluated by independent experts to ensure high-performing interventions. The organization comprises a community of international competitors, Olympians and world champions across 48 sports.
