The Running Industry Awards has a new presenting partnership with fundraising platform JustGiving, alongside a relocation to the Royal Geographical Society in London for its 2027 edition.
Delivered in partnership with Running Industry Alliance (RIA), England Athletics, and Run Events, the Running Industry Awards presented by JustGiving will take place on Wednesday, April 21, 2027. The move to the South Kensington venue reflects the expansion of the awards offering and is accompanied by an updated brand identity created by agency Orangery.
The annual awards programme recognises commercial achievement, innovation, participation initiatives, and social impact across the running and multisport ecosystems. Through an ongoing collaboration with the Triathlon Industry Alliance (TIA), the event will also continue to include categories celebrating the wider triathlon sector.
Nominations for the 2027 awards open on November 30, 2026, with the award process featuring open industry entries followed by public voting phases between February and April 2027.
Rebecca Richardson, Chief Executive Officer of Running Industry Alliance, said “Running Industry Awards exist to celebrate the people and organisations who move our industry forward, and 2027 is our most ambitious year yet.
“Welcoming JustGiving as presenting partner is a perfect fit. So much of what makes running and multisport special is its power to bring people together for a cause, and fundraising sits at the heart of that. Moving to the Royal Geographical Society in the heart of South Kensington gives us the space and the setting the Awards deserve, and our new identity from Orangery marks a confident next chapter.”
Barry Hopkins, Head of Run Events and Licensing at England Athletics, said “This is an exciting time for the Running Industry Awards. At RunEvents and England Athletics we sit at the heart of the Sport, and believe that the power of partnerships is how we drive forward everything in running. Not one voice, but the power of many.
“As co-founders of the Running Industry Awards, we are delighted to be working with the Running Industry Alliance, and welcome JustGiving as the presenting partner. The mass participation sector of the Sport has fundraising as its heartbeat, with millions raised every year for so many good causes in the UK.”
Pascale Harvie, President and General Manager of JustGiving, added “We’re delighted to partner with the Running Industry Awards and celebrate the people and organisations making such a positive impact across the running and multisport industries. Running brings people together in extraordinary ways, and its connection with fundraising is one of the most powerful forces for good we see. Every year determined and generous runners on JustGiving turn miles into millions of pounds for the causes they care about.”
